We loved the art deco look and feel of the hotel. The staff were great and with a little, gentle persuasion we were upgraded to an ocean view room at no additional cost. Great location!!
For what you get, it's pricey...once you add in the room cost, all the different taxes, daily resort fees, parking, etc. But it's no different than all the other hotels on Ocean Drive.
The prices in the bar were astronomical, therefore we only had a drink there once during our stay. Had the drinks been more reasonable we would have probably had a drink there each night of our 3-night stay
The hotel is right across the street from the beach. The staff was amazingly nice and professional. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I had the sea bass at their restaurant Quinn's and it was the best I've had in a long time. I'll definitely be returning.
You have to assume there will be noise because the hotel is right on Ocean; thus, I expected that. However, the noise was not as loud as I thought it would be.
Well located on the sea front and close to the busy part of the city the hotel smells history, with a art déco influence. People of the hotel are really taking care and want to help.
My room was pretty old and I could hear everything happening next door. Thanks god, my neighboors were discrete.
Pleasant and relaxing atmosphere and location. Accessibility to beach and restaurants and the "buzz' of South Beach. Art Deco design.
Noise level between rooms.
Feeling the history and ambiance of the hotel. The architecture and the location of hotel (to the beach and other streets. Helpful staff, and nice photography on the walls.
I did not like that the sound of the A/C in the room, it is gigh, and the sound of A/C from adjacent building. There should be sound proofing windows.
Convenience - very close to the beach and many restaurants. Staff was friendly.
I think it's a stretch to call this a 3 star hotel - at least my room. Very tiny, especially the bathroom, towel rack is placed over toilet and I bumped my head on it a couple of times, bumped elbow on shelves.
The hotel was in a convenient location by the beach. Loved the evening musc, and the staff was great.
My door opened towards the outside. I didn't really like that.
When I made this reservation on Booked.net I indicated that I wanted a quiet room. However, my room was next to an elevator shaft that was noisy. I could not sleep throughout the night, despite earplugs. When I complained to management they indicated to me that they had never received my request for a quiet room from Booked.net.
Everything I imagined it to be! The ambience, the staff, the food, the swimming pool, the roof terrace and of course, the location. Right on South Beach, the hotel was stunning, the staff went out of their way to give me a perfect holiday and I wish I could have stayed longer.
Concierge and other staff were readily available, friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and nicely appointed. We enjoyed the view from our room and the rooftop deck and pool, and also the black-and-white photos throughout the hotel.
It was across the road from the beach, with loads of restuarants nearby.
This hotel should in fact be downgraded..The corridors had a permanent food smell lingering in it...morning and night..They had no tea or coffee machines or kettle in the rooms..It would have been nice if they had...The toilet is a disaster...we had to use the toilet sitting sideways as our knees bang against the wall in front of us...the carpet in the room were not clean at all...NOT AGAIN...Tourist beware...this hotel is a rip-off
We really liked the location of the hotel, we were across the road from the beach and a short walk up Ocean Drive to all the bars and shops. The hotel is also right near some nice bars and restaurants. The Park Central cafe closed at about 12.30 which was good as meant you could have a quiet night if you wanted to! The rooms are very spacious and has a nice bathroom, in the art deco style of the hotel.
The restaurant in the hotel is quite expensive, we didnt eat there but did look very nice as you passed it to get to the rooms. There were plenty of other options just outside, including the Park Central cafe which did a nice breakfast.
Locationa and Staff
The bed and pillows were very unfomfortable. The room was very dark.
